The Flyers lost to the Kraken, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon in what was likely their weakest effort throughout this 4-game home stand. Late in the third period, Wells Fargo Center fans walked out of the game to go home to watch the superbowl, and sadly that was another loss for Philly sports.
For the Flyers (22-23-10), who are once again having a nightmare trying to produce offence, Owen Tippett had a multi-point game (one goal, one assist) on Sunday. They were sixth in the NHL in goals scored per game (2.69) and had the 31st-ranked power play as of Sunday (15.5 percent).
The Flyers were interviewed after the game and as expected they were not too happy.
"It's not going to come down to disappointment or frustration or me ripping the team or not," Tortorella said. "I just don't think we played good enough. The team that won was better."
