Unfortunately, hockey also has its share of negative aspects. Yegor Stronov, a 23-year-old player for Dynamo-Altay of the VHL, sure can confirmthis after being severely injured after ahit by an opponent by the name of Yegor Filippov.

The impact left quite the significant amount of damage, leaving him without a kidney..

According to a statement from the Sport24.ru He didn't appear to be seriously injured on the play, but after examination the worst was confirmed.
The examination revealed damage to the left kidney. During the surgery the doctors failed to save the organ, so unfortunately the kidney had to be removed.

We would like to express our deepest words of support to relatives and friends of Yegor!

Stronov's condition is apparently described as "critical but stable," which is a little confusing claim. You can assumethat he is not doing very well after having his kidney removed during emergency surgery, but he is anticipated to make a complete recovery.
