The Carolina Hurricanes have made a huge name for themselves throughout the last five years, going from a struggling franchise to an elite and intimidating one came from the managements high-end drafting skills in Sebastien Aho and Andrei Svechnikov.

With the Hurricanes red hot heading into this years NHL trade deadline which takes place on March 3rd, it appears they aren't done adding to their contending roster. The Carolina Hurricanes are linked to Philadelphia Flyers All-Star forward Kevin Hayes.
All signs point to Kevin Hayes being traded as the Flyers are unlikely and his trade value is at an all-time high, Chuck Fletcher stated he is "open for business" and we may see a big splash here. Hayes has 16 goals and 46 points throughout his 52 games on the year.
The main issue stopping Kevin Hayes from being traded? The whopping seven-million dollar deal that was handed to him, that will only be expiring after the 2026-27 season. The Flyers will surely have to retain enough salary cap if they find a buyer.
