Sportsnet's hockey Insider Elliotte Friedman revealed the Pittsburgh Penguins have indeed re-signed Russian star Evgeni Malkin at a new 4 year deal with a annual salary of $6.1 million dollars.
Malkin was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2004 NHL draft 2nd overall. Malkin has played in 981 games in Pittsburgh and has scored 444 goals, and 702 assists.
Malkin has also been part of the Penguins winning 3 Stanley Cups including back to back in 2016 and 2017.
