As trade deadlines go, I feel that the Flyers will be buyers and sellers while they try to change and improve their roster. Meanwhile, Flyers centerman Kevin Hayes has had an interesting year, to say the least, with benching from his head coach to being the leading scorer of the team, one would think he would be a target for a trade.

According to David Pagnotta, the Carolina Hurricanes have been linked to Kevin Hayes name as the Hurricanes are a top-five hockey team and looking to add to their already impressive roster.

The Flyers and the Carolina Hurricanes are no strangers to one another on the trade market as the Hurricanes possess two of the Flyers' current draft picks in the next two years.

The Hurricanes have many assets, especially on their defense, a surplus of draft picks, and roster players that would help the Flyers. the only obstacle that could prevent a deal would be Kevin Hayes's contract.
The Flyers would need to retain some of the salaries especially since he has three more seasons at $7.1 million AAV.
Safe to say it is going to be an interesting next few months for the Flyers.
