Former Philadelphia Flyers Derek Brassard has officially signed a professional tryout with the Ottawa Senators. Brassard, who is thirty-five years of age spent 31-games with the Philadelphia Flyers last season where he posted his worst season in many years, only tallying up sixteen points.
Brassard who played in a mix of the Flyers top three line combinations did not stand out much on the stat sheet, but more so made use of his veteran presence on giving the Flyers core basic fundamentals to the game, like getting into the gritty areas.
