The Waiver wire was busy today, after the Buffalo Sabres placed defenceman Casey Fitzgerald, son of former NHL'er Tom Fitzgerald on waivers Tuesday, he was quickly scooped up Today by the Florida Panthers.
Fitzgerald was drafted by the Sabres in the 3rd round 86th over in the 2016 draft. The 25 year-old has played in 23 games this season, and has 3 assists with a -1 rating.
The Vegas Golden Knights placed forward Jake Leschyshyn son of former NHL'er Curtis Leschyshyn was also placed on waivers, then claimed by New York Rangers.
