Tragically, there are still a number of major injuries suffered by hockey players, and these accidents seem to be happening more frequently in the 2022-23 NHL season.

As seen by the wrist-cutting incident involving Evander Kane and the recent slap shot to the back of the head received by Calgary Flames defenseman Christopher Tanev, hockey is not always laughs and smiles.
During the second period of play between the Calgary Flames and Montreal Canadiens, theCanadiens were on the power play and attempting to tie the game at one, but defender Chris Tanev, who frequently leads the NHL in blocked shots, put his body on the line, and it ended terribly.

We kindly urge for prayers as there have been no updates since Tanev needed assistance to exit the rink after being hit by the puck.
