On Saturday afternoon the Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Calgary Flames 3-2 in a battle that late owner Mr. Ed Snider would have been proud of. On what would have been Snider's 92nd birthday, the organization and the fans spent the day honoring the founder of the orange and black.

After the win, Flyers front office members participated in a tradition that Mr. Snider always partook in which was shaking hands with Flyers players in the locker room after the game. Seeing the owner come down and interact with every player is something that stuck out to every player that came through the Flyers organization.
"That was a good game for Mr. Snider. A good style game for him. Rest his soul."

Flyers All-Star Travis Konecny also honored Mr. Snider by bringing the toughness and chippy attitude that resembles the orange and black and the city of Philadelphia with his postgame shenanigans as the buzzer sounded.
Along with the way the team played on the ice, Mr. Snider was remembered throughout the day with tribute videos, a puck drop featuring his daughter and an incredible donation to Snider's foundation.
