The World Junior Hockey Championships are set to get started the day after Christmas, which means that rosters are being finalized for the big tournament.

One player who was in question for the tournament was Shane Wright, of the Seattle Kraken. Wright was questionable because he is currently on the NHL roster, so the team gets to decide if they want to loan him for the tournament or not.
It was a rough start to Wright's career, as a poor preseason led to limited play at the NHL level. The Kraken finally decided to send Wright down to the AHL, where he dominated. Wright was then recalled to the NHL and netted the first goal of his career, which came against the team that passed on him at #1 overall, in the Montreal Canadiens.

With Wright's limited NHL play, it seemed likely that the Kraken would loan him to Team Canada, but it still wasn't official.
Well we now know, thanks to the House of Hockey, that Stephanie Leroux reported the Kraken will indeed loan Wright to Team Canada for World Juniors.
This is a massive addition to Team Canada as Wright adds to an already loaded roster.
