In my opinion 100% Marleau is one of the greatest Canadian players of all-time aswell as hands down the greatest player in San Jose Sharks history.

Marleau is the San Jose Sharks all-time leader in, goals, even strength goals, points, shots, fourth longest consecutive games played streak of 900 and most games played in NHL history with 1,779 games. If it wasn't for the tandem of Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau who knows if there would be a San Jose Sharks team in 2022, we've seen some teams since the 90s come and go.
Marleau has also been part of winning 4 goals medals representing Canada, 2003 World Hockey Championships, 2004 World Cup of Hockey, 2010 Men's Olympics, 2014 Men's Olympics. And is a 6 time All-Star Game representative with San Jose.
Patrick Marleau broke Gordie Howe's record of competing in more NHL games by 11 games, which is a respectable accomplishment. 1,779 games are a lot by any standard, but what happened from game 1 to 1,779 in 2020-2021?
