The Philadelphia Flyers are having a disastrous 2023 season so far sitting 7th in the Metropolitan Division. We knew things were going to be rough with the Flyers rebuilding but they could have a chance to speed that process up this off-season.
The move that could definitely turn the Flyers organization around, but it won't be an easy move because many General Manager's don't like this tactic, but what if the Flyers Gm Chuck Fletcher decided to go balls out and try to steal the Montreal Canadiens best player sniper Cole Caufield?
Incase those who don't remember the Flyers could of selected Caufield with the 14th overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft. The Flyers would disappoint a lot of fans by selecting defenceman Cam York instead.
Caufield is the Canadiens best player and leading scorer aswell as the best pure goal scorer since Stephane Richer. Caufield is a pending RFA this off-season and will be expecting a big pay day, he is also available to be offer sheeted. If Fletcher was able to make a offer the Canadiens couldn't match this would be huge for the Flyers fan base to get their next super star in Philadelphia.
