The victim of the dirty hit to the head is Sam Ganger, a veteran thirty-three year old forward who has spent over sixteen years in the National Hockey League and has eighteen season underneath his belt with teams such as The Edmonton Oilers, Columbus Blue Jackets, Philadelphia Flyers and many more teams where he was signed to on short-term deals.
