It's a proven theory that team USA of the WJC is a team that can't be beaten, as of right now. They domination on teams is stellar and the defense and puck mobility is top notch. USA puts on another scoring clinic as they defeated Austria today in the third game of the preliminary round. Few things that stuck out on this game- let's get into it.

Offensive Game has no flaws
Seems to be the same story each game. Team USA continues to score goals and not just a few. They defeated Team Austria 7-0. Carter Mazur and Wyatt Kaiser each recorded two goals for the USA, the second consecutive two-goal game for Mazur. Kaiser was named Player of the Game. Matt Coronato, Red Savage and Sasha Pastujov collected the other three goals.
Hughes blanked
For the first time in a longtime, Luke Hughes was left off the scoreboard but not before he was given shorthanded assist. Hughes chipped the puck up the ice for a play that was finished by a give-and-go between Matt Coronato to Dominick James for a shorthanded goal. Sadly, the play would ultimately be ruled offside after Hughes' pass crossed three lines before Coronato had possession. Unfortunate, but he is having a great Team USA. Hughes still played major minutes on the blueline with 19:20 time on ice.
USA plays Sweden in the Final game of the preliminary round on August 14 at 2:00pmLocal/10:00pmEST.
