Last night, the Vegas Golden Knights traded Evgenii Dadonov to the Montreal Canadiens in exchange of Shea Weber. Vegas needed to move a contract to free up some space under the cap, so it was a pretty important move for them.
Shea Weber will probably never play hockey again, so his contract will directly go to LTIR.
However, let's remind that the Golden Knights already tried to move Dadonov at the trade deadline. However, the forward had an NTC and Anaheim - where he was traded - was on the list. So the NHL invalided the trade.
