The Philadelphia Flyers and Columbus Blue Jackets will play for their first regular season game on October 12th, which seems not too far away.

Despite both teams being rebuilding, the Flyers expect to win much sooner than the Blue Jackets.

Must read on FlyersInsider
There are many spots on the Flyers that are being contested. It should be a thrilling battle for two forward spots among Wade Allison, Samu Tuomaala, Bobby Brink, and Tyson Foerster, since Bobby Brink has been showing up all preseason.
Due to moving on from Ivan Provorov and Tony DeAngelo, the defensive core will look very different this year as well.
Currently, Ronnie Attard, Egor Zamula, Emil Andrae and Adam Ginning are all vying for the one spot in the defensive lineup.
As the youth movement continues, we should see the new direction of Flyers hockey taking shape in the last few pre-season games.
