Flyers Make Roster Moves Ahead of Final Preseason Test
As the Philadelphia Flyers gear up for their last preseason matchup against the New York Islanders, the team has announced several roster adjustments. These changes are aimed at fine-tuning the lineup as the regular season approaches.
In a strategic move, the Flyers have decided to assign forward Samu Tuomalaa and defensemen
Ronnie Attard and
Adam Ginning to the Lehigh Valley of the American Hockey League (AHL). This provides these promising players with an opportunity to further hone their skills and gain invaluable experience in the AHL.

Additionally, forward
Tanner Laczynski, defenseman Victor Mete, and goaltender
Cal Petersen have successfully cleared waivers and are set to join the Phantoms, the Flyers' AHL affiliate.
A Set Training Camp Roster
With these roster adjustments in place, the Flyers' 2023 Training Camp Roster now boasts a total of 26 players. This group includes 15 forwards, eight defensemen, and three goaltenders, all of whom will continue to vie for coveted spots on the final roster.
As the preseason nears its end, the Flyers will face off against the New York Islanders on Thursday, Oct. 5, at the Wells Fargo Center. This game is the last opportunity for players to showcase their skills and make a compelling case for inclusion in the regular-season roster.
