A blockbuster trade would send two fan favourites to Ottawa with Giroux.

The Senators need to move some money to make a deal work for Pinto. Several weeks ago, Pinto's name came across the Flyers' desk as they were looking to acquire his services. One of the contingents of the deal was that the Flyers would need to take on some money, where Mathieu Joseph, who currently holds a $2.9 million cap hit, would go to the Flyers as part of the cap relief.

The people at brotherlypuck.com decided to put out a potential trade idea through the cap-friendly armchair GM tool. The deal would send two fan favourites to the Senators in exchange for Pinto and several other pieces.

This trade, on the surface, would be hard to swallow for some fans, as TK and Allison are considered fan favourites to the Flyers nation. Retaining 50% of TK's salary would certainly help move this trade along, as that is the current trend in trades these days. The Senators would be gaining a star and solid wingers to help bolster their offence, along with Claude Giroux, who has played with them in the past.

The Flyers would be restocking the cupboard for prospects and also gaining a promising young centerman, a first-round draft pick, and the player they coveted.
