For the opening night of regular season NHL hockey, the Philadelphia Flyers are continuously evaluating their lineup.
By doing so, they waived goaltender Cal Petersen, who will be sent to Lehigh Valley if he is not claimed by another NHL team.
Well... @nhlflyers opening night roster getting close now.
Seems like in effect.
Brink, Foerster, Allison, Tuomaala fighting for 2 spots. Zamula, Attard, Andrae, Ginning fighting for 1 spot. Ersson and Sandström fighting for 1 spot.

Since teams are dealing with a cap crunch of the last three years, it's hard to imagine them taking on such a high cap hit.
As a result, Felix Sandstrom and Samuel Ersson remain in the running for Philadelphia's #2 goalie spot, which appears to be a lock.
During pre-season play, Ersson has played the most games of any Flyers goalkeeper and stopped 33 of 37 shots against the Boston Bruins.
He went 6-0-0 last season with a 2.56 GAA and a .913 save percentage that endeared him to John Tortorella.
Since Sandstrom has played only two periods in pre-season, he faces an uphill battle. Sandstrom has a lot to prove in the meantime while the Flyers continue their pre-season.
