The Philadelphia Flyers came out on a mission against the Montreal Canadiens. Travis Sanheim buried his first goal of the season on a great centering pass from Scott Laughton .39 seconds into the game.

Just over 2 minutes later, Owen Tippett picked up the puck in his own zone and wheeled it through the neutral zone and entered the zone with speed. Tippett changed the angle of his shot, pulling the puck to his body to utilize Joel Edmundson as screen. Tippett ripped the puck top corner and beat a surprised Jake Allen.
