In the aftermath of Ron Hextall's departure from their organization as their number-one goaltender, the Flyers struggled to find his replacement.

There were several candidates that could have been considered, including John Vanbiesbrouck, Ilya Bryzgalov, and Sergei Bobrovsky. However, I believe they have found their true number-one starter now.
Carter Hart has certainly had a roller-coaster season as the starting goalie for the Flyers. It has been many stretches where he has looked brilliant and the team's rock. He has shown Flyers Nation why is the right man for the job.

NHL players and Flyer pundits agree that Hart is the Flyers' main engine and continue to praise him.
The 24-year-old was drafted in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft in the second round, 48th pick overall. Even though his win column should be higher his numbers continue to impress. He currently holds an 8-8-5 record with 2.75 GAA and a .913 SV%.
When the Flyers' management decide to make a change, whether in the front office or on the ice, I believe Flyers fans will not see Carter Hart's true greatness. There will, however, be changes, especially in the offseason.
