The Hockey Community Endures Another Tragic Loss Yesterday

Due to the number of passings this offseason, including Hall of Famers, seasoned players, prospects who are future stars in the making,�the hockey community feels almost cursed.
Aditya Rama Putra, 37, passed suddenly on Thursday, according to a statement from the IIHF (International Ice Hockey Federation). His cause of death was not disclosed.
Since the Indonesian National Ice Hockey team was established in 2016, Putra has served his nation and helped put it on the hockey map. This includes participating in events like the 2017 Asian Winter Games and the 2018 IIHF Ice Hockey Challenge Cup of Asia.

In a statement, the IIHF said: "Rama left a legacy of commitment and determination to become a better player. He was also an idol for the younger generation. A lot of young kids would come to the rink just to have an opportunity to watch him and the team practice, so they can learn how to be like him, who is considered as one of the best player Indonesia has ever had. His character that full of fun and his humble personality would always be something to be missed from the whole organization and anyone who had the opportunity to know him."
Putra had only a few weeks left before reporting to training camp with his colleagues in preparation for the IIHF World Championship, which will take place this spring.
