The NHL has recently come out and said that they will be raising the salary cap for next season by $1M, which is just a 1.2% increase from the $82.5M it is currently at.
Well, now the Premier Hockey Federation (previously known as the National Women's Hockey League) has also announced a jump in their salary cap. They are going to double their current salary cap of $750,000.
The PHF salary cap was just $150,000 in 2021, but now it is going to be $1.5M. This just proves how much the game is growing for women in North America.
The PHF is making Gary Bettman look bad for raising the cap by just 1.2% for next season.
Hey, maybe this will get him to reconsider...but I doubt it.
