Travis Sanheim, a former first-round pick of the Philadelphia Flyers, faced a challenging 2022-23 season, spending time as a healthy scratch and even on one occasion against his hometown team with family in attendance.

Initially put on the trading block by Flyers GM Danny Briere, it seems a change of heart has occurred. Briere now states that he doesn't envision Sanheim being moved, but remains open to listening.
"I don't imagine him being moved at this point," said Briere.

"But at the same time you listen. Like I said before, it's my duty to listen. Nothing really made sense at this point."

"Obviously now he has a no-trade clause and we're going to respect that."

Sanheim's recently activated no-trade clause and $6.25 million contract add complexity.
As the upcoming season approaches, Sanheim will have an opportunity to prove himself, given the Flyers' revamped defense with the addition of Marc Staal and the expected departure of Tony DeAngelo.
