Sean Couturier celebrates a goal

At the ripe age of 31, Flyers center Sean Couturier is quietly having a legendary NHL career and is becoming a household name in Philadelphia Flyers history. After missing a majority of last season with injury, Couturier has been able to return and not only produce, but produce at a high level.

In his 12th NHL season, Couturier has contributed 27 points on 17 assists and ten goals. He is among the top five on the team in scoring and has really thrived on the line that features Couturier, Konecny and Farabee.

Captaincy role incoming for Coots?

Most importantly, Couturier has the Flyers' back in playoff contention. Couturier brings so much to the locker room. Leadership, experience and expertise for the young guys is a huge quality for this Flyers team, and could be named the Philadelphia Flyers team captain next season.

Couturier has spent all 12 seasons with the Flyers and has been with the organization through the ups and downs. Couturier has logged 759 games played with the orange and black, recording 487 points on 190 goals and 297 assists. Couturier's best seasons came in 2017-2019 where he recorded back-to-back seasons with 76 points with 40 plus assists and 30 plus goals.
The Flyers success has stemmed from Couturier being on the ice. If Couturier keeps contributing, he will be remembered as one of the all-time Flyer greats.
