The Predators are actively shopping one of their best players

That's a big news out of Nashville.
According to Andy Strickland, the Predators are actively shipping star forward Philip Forsberg.
Forsberg is leading the Predators in goals (26) and point per game at 1.15. He is set to become an UFA this summer, and this announce leads us to think that both parties will not succeed to agree on an extension.
With that being said, the Predators are probably going to make the playoffs (they are fourth in the Central with a 29-18-4 record) so it doesn't send a great message to the team.
Trading Forsberg could however bring a LOT of assets back for Nashville. A lot of teams are going to inquire to know what is the price to acquire the forward, but the club who will trade for his services will make sure that Forsberg signs an extension with them before making a move.
