He was traded three seasons ago from Florida to Carolina, and he has been exactly what the Canes were expecting. He has the ability to play at both end of the ice and produce a lot. He collected 51 points in 81 games this season, which was his worst in point per game terms. Trocheck was a nearly a point per game player last season, and collected 75 points in 2017-18.
The only problem is the following : will it really solve the problem? If they find a way to sign/trade for a star player yes. He has the ability to complement extremely well this type of players. But if Fletcher signs him without adding that star firepower that the team needs, it will not have the impact that some would anticipate.
