Philadelphia Flyers Defenceman caused quite a stir during Tuesday night's game between the Flyers and Tampa Bay Lightning.

DeAngelo was ejected and given a 5 minute major for spearing Lightning's forward Corey Perry. DeAngelo would contest the call with the officials before heading to the Flyers dressing room, but it's hard to lie when you do it in front of the refs.
After the game DeAngelo was asked about the nut shot by the media:

I was trying to give him a little shot. I wasn't looking for it to go there. He tried to slash my stick out of my hands the second beforehand. He talks all game. So, asked him to fight. Doesn't want to fight. He'll tell you that he's asked me to fight for years. I don't say no. So there's not much of an argument there. But I didn't look to ... I wasn't trying to give him a shot ... replay probably looks a bit worse than it was meant to be. But it is what it is. I took 30 punches on the ground. And when I get up, they don't let me do what I got to do. So it's whatever.

Perry's no saint that's for sure but you can't spear the opposition in the soft spot and then play like you didn't.
