The Dallas Stars' GM, Jim Nill, announced that the team has granted a leave of absence for Denis Gurianov, and he will be out indefinitely to deal with family matters.
The 25-year old, and former first round draft pick, has been pretty reliable for the Stars the past few years, but this year he hasn't been the same, as he has just 5 points in 25 games for the Stars.
The team has been hoping that Gurianov would take the next big step in his development, but it is not going to happen anytime soon, as Gurianov is going to be away from hockey for quite some time.
