The Philadelphia Flyers have been on a terrible slump only winning 2 of their last 15 games, which puts them seventh last in the NHL, and second last in their division alongside the horrendous Columbus Blue Jackets.
But, what's the issue with the Flyers? It may not be the full reasoning of the losing streak, but the Flyers have dealt with a significant amount of injuries since the puck dropped on opening night, Cam Atkinson and Sean Couturier to be more specific.
Sean Couturier, who won the Selke trophy a few seasons back out-powering Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron, is defiantly missed by the Flyers in many categories. At one point, Travis Konecny, James Van Riemsdyk, Wade Allison, Cam Atkinson and Sean Couturier were all out with injuries at the same time, meaning the Flyers were left without nearly two forward lines.
Frustrations are at an all-time high for this Flyers group, and you can't blame them with a general manager who has not taken action to make any new additions through a 10+ game losing streak.
The Washington Capitals and Alex Ovechkin to be more specific sure didn't help the teams morale last night, after the Flyers were already down 3-1 with just 9 seconds to go in the game, Alex Ovechkin scored an empty net goal, but Travis Konecny was not a fan of it..
