It's a simple fact that an NHL organization cannot keep everyone forever. Whether it's players, scouts or management teams are always looking for quality candidates who would replace others and make the organization stronger.

The Flyers coaching staff has produced a surprisingly great season considering where most people thought the team would be going into October. Jamey Baskow tweeded that he feels one of the Flyers coaches will become a head coach next year.
Shaw, has a strong history with hockey as he was a player drafted by the 1982 Detroit Red Wings in which his career spanned from 1984 though 1999. After he retired, he worked with numerous organisations including the New York Islanders, St Louis Blues the Vancouver Canucks and the Flyers.
Given the trend of NHL coaches becoming younger and organizations hiring assistants, it's highly likely this man will become a head coach in the very near future. It's also a good sign that the organization he's coming from is producing good people which means a strong program.
