Sometimes, you say something that really means the exact opposite of the idea you were trying to share. And it's what Chuck Fletcher did, this afternoon, in an interview with Emily Kaplan during the Flyers game against the Hurricanes.
The Flyers GM was asked why he thought that his team didn't need a rebuild and why Philadelphia isn't too far from being a competitive team.
Here's his answer...
"I just believe we have good pieces under the age of 25, we have some good vets, we clearly need to make some upgrades, we gotta get a little more skill, more speed, get a little bigger in certain area, we have work to do," said Chuck Fletcher.
So, clearly, Fletcher admitted that his team was extremely far off being a competitive team. They have flaws in nearly every areas of the lineup. And a team that is close to being good don't need to make all these changes...
