The Golden Knights will have rather sooner than later some big decisions to make, with the returns of Alec Martinez and Jack Eichel. The only problem is that the club doesn't have enough cap space to activate them off LTIR.

So, they will be pretty much forced to make one or multiple moves to create that space...
What's interesting is that a pretty big member of the leadership core of the Golden Knights could be traded. And I'm talking about Reilly Smith. He could interest a lot of team.

Vegas GM Kelly McCrimmon have two choices: ship two big contracts (Reilly Smith and Evgenii Dadonov) or try to trade contracts of some marginal players.
Anyways, in those two cases, the Golden Knights will be big losers. First of all because they are going to lose some depth (and we know how important it is for a team who wants to win the Stanley Cup) and moreover, they are probably not going to get as much as they normally could for the players they are trading away. Also, if they were forced to move someone like Reilly Smith for a smaller cost than usual, that would be a bargain for a lot of teams.
According to Pierre LeBrun, Eichel could be back in the next couple of weeks. So the Golden Knights will have to move someone out, and quickly.
