The Philadelphia Flyers received another tough news today, as Joel Farabee is out for 3 to 4 months after undergoing successful disc replacement surgery in his cervical region today.
The timetable of his recovery indicates that he could be back for the beginning of training camp, but it seems pretty unlikely. Anthony SanFilippo said that he would be impressed if Farabee played before mid-November.
He added that the problem started cropping up during the offseason. So that's why the surgery occurred only today.
