The Philadelphia Flyers and Kevin Hayes finally got a deal done late Tuesday night. After lots of speculation, general manager Chuck Fletcher was finally able to lock up Hayes after acquiring his negotiation rights. The deal though, didn't exactly make everybody happy. The final result was a massive seven year deal that carries an annual $7.14million cap hit and some fans feel it's an extreme over payment for a guy who's only reached the 50 point plateau once in his career. Following is a list of top tier NHL forwards who will get paid less than Hayes next season courtesy of Twitter user NHL Prospects Watch, and it's a pretty incredible list. Nate MacKinnon Johnny Gaudreau Evander Kane Max Pacioretty Patrice Bergeron Nicklas Backstrom David Pastrnak Alex Radulov Brad Marchand Mark Scheifele Dylan Larkin Filip Forsberg Taylor Hall Aleksander Barkov Jake Guentze Jonathan Huberdeau Cam Atkinson.
