"The Philadelphia Flyers hit the ice for the opening day of training camp today and we got our first taste of what head coach Alain Vigneault is thinking about when it comes to his lineup. Everybody was of course excited to see what AV was thinking when it comes to his face lifted defensive group thanks to general manager Chuck Fletcher's offseason work. Unfortunately as we're aware, the Flyers are missing some key pieces to open up camp including Kevin Hayes, Samuel Morin and Wade Allison. When it comes to the lineup, AV revealed what will likely be a first pairing of Ryan Ellis and Ivan Provorov on defense. Keith Yandle paired up with Justin Braun while Travis Sanheim paired up with Rasmus Ristolainen.Up front we saw Claude Giroux playing wing along with Travis Konecny on a line with Sean Couturier while Derick Brassard seems to be a possible second line center as he had Oskar Lindblom and Cam Atkinson on his wings. Morgan Frost centered a line with James van Riemsdyk and Joel Farabee. Here's a look at some of the key lines from today. JvR-Frost-Farabee
