"The Philadelphia Flyers and general manager Chuck Fletcher made a pretty significant announcement on Thursday. After a rough season and a recent injury, goalie Carter Hart has been shut down for the season. ""Goaltender Carter Hart will miss the remainder of the regular season with an MCL sprain in his left knee.""Hart has struggled immensely this season which has resulted in a 3.67 goals against average and .877 save percentage over 25 starts and two games in relief. It's obviously not all on Hart as the Flyers have been a pretty big disaster, however he hasn't looked good. It got so bad that head coach Alain Vigneault gave Hart a ""week off"" to watch the games from the press box and get some extra work in during practice. Hopefully the extra time off will help Hart get healthy and his mind right for next season.
