"The Philadelphia Flyers and general manager Chuck Fletcher just made their first trade of the day. Fletcher has acquired forward Nate Thompson from the Montreal Canadiens. While the move doesn't boost their top 6, this finally gives the Philadelphia Flyers their every night fourth line center. The Flyers will send the Canadiens a 5th round pick in return.
