BREAKING Flyers Put Goalie On Waivers

"The Philadelphia Flyers and general manager Chuck Fletcher announced a roster move on Saturday. The team has placed goalie Alex Lyon on waivers. It's a tough blow for Lyon who many were hoping would be the backup goalie this season, however the writing was on the wall when they decided to re-sign Brian Elliott. The more interesting aspect of this news is that the Flyers decided to waive Lyon before they waived JF Berube.Could this mean that Lyon has now been booted down to a backup role in the AHL if he clears waivers?
