Briere reveals shocking news regarding Ryan Johansen

The news continues to twist and turn with the recent Flyers acquisition of Ryan Johansen as General Manager Danny Briere has revealed a shocking fact regarding the injury Johansen is rehabbing.
While interviewing with Philly Hockey Now, Briere explained that the rehab process for Johansen was a surprise to the organization which impacted their ability to place him on the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
«He claimed to be injured when we traded for him, so we had him see the doctors,» Flyers general manager Danny Briere told Philly Hockey Now in a phone interview. «They found an injury, so now he's going to be rehabbing. You can't send down a player who's injured, so he's going to be doing rehab until we don't know when. That's about all I can say at this time, or all that I have. So, he's back on our roster doing rehab and trying to get better.»
It seems odd how all this has unfolded with issues surfacing with his falling out with his Avalanche teammates and now this bizarre injury. It's quite certain this will continue to unfold and his time with the Flyers will not be long .
