The Philadelphia Flyers and general manager Chuck Fletcher are heading into a very interesting trade deadline. Fletcher was brought in to strip the roster down and change things around, however the new Flyers GM hasn't done much besides some minor moves. While the mandate might be to "reset" the team, it's kind of hard with the Flyers just six points out of a playoff spot. After making the Cam Talbot trade, Fletcher spoke with the media about what his plans are. "That's hard to predict," he said Saturday. "Certainly the level of phone activity has picked up the last week. (Trading Anthony Stolarz to Edmonton for goalie Cam Talbot) came together fairly quickly. It's hard to say but if we can find a way to improve our team we'll certainly look at it and see, whether it's now or in the summer. Just continuing to make calls and answer calls and see what opportunity may be out there." He was also asked about the Wayne Simmonds situation as the forward will be UFA this summer and many expect him to be moved at the deadline. "Simmonds is just a great teammate, done a lot for this franchise. We'll try to work out a conclusion that does the best for everybody." What do you think of Fletcher's comments?
