"The Philadelphia Flyers dropped yet another game last night which makes it a franchise worst 13 games in a row. With the trade deadline approaching, there's no question that the Flyers and general manager Chuck Fletcher will be looking to make some moves. One name we've heard mentioned is captain Claude Giroux. NHL insider Elliotte Friedman mentioned that Giroux could be headed to the Colorado Avalanche if the two sides can work around the salary cap. While he didn't mention the Avalanche, Fletcher did confirm a trade is on the table. Meeting with the media on Wednesday morning, Fletcher was asked about the Giroux situation. Fletcher confirmed that the possibility of a trade is on the table and he's met with Giroux's agent, Pat Brisson, as recently as yesterday. The Flyers' GM added that Giroux is one of the greatest Flyers in franchise history so it's a very sensitive trade and will need to be handled properly.
