The Philadelphia Flyers will be looking to build on their great 2017-18 season this summer through free agency or trade. Philly put together their best points percentage season since 2011-12 and watched Claude Giroux have a resurgence. While the offense wasn't really a problem during the season, the defense was a bit shaky at times. Shayne Gostisbehere, Ivan Provorov, Andrew MacDonald and Radko Gudas are all likely to be back in 2018-19 while Robert Hagg is a restricted free agent. Brandon Manning and Johnny Oduya are both likely to find new teams as UFA's and the team will need to plug some holes with Samuel Morin not ready for the start of next season. Scott Cullen of TSN.ca put together a list of five veteran defenseman the team could add on a short term deal:Toby Enstrom, Winnipeg Jets: One of the longest tenured Jets is likely gone as he made it clear he was unhappy with being benched in the playoffs. He's aging and has had some injury problems but could likely fill in as 5-6 dman. Dan Hamuis, Dallas Stars: The 35 year old has 1031 career NHL games under his belt and still had a productive year last year with three goals and 21 assists.Ian Cole, Columbus Blue Jackets: Cole will likely draw some interest on the free agent market and is a solid lefty. He had a combined five goals and 15 assists with the Blue Jackets and Pittsburgh Penguins last year. The 29 year old was also a big piece of the Penguins blueline during their recent Cup runs. Nick Holden, Boston Bruins: Holden was one of many players dumped by the New York Rangers at the trade deadline. He likely won't re-sign with the Bruins during the summer. Jack Johnson, Columbus Blue Jackets: Johnson is likely looking for a long term deal and probably doesn't fit with the Flyers plans moving forward. Whether or not a long term deal is available to him is another question, the 31 year old has struggled at times over the last couple of years and was rumoured to be moved at the deadline. Who from this list do you think could help the Flyers next year?
