Flyers general manager Ron Hextall did not make any official trades before the deadline; however, they swap out defensemen. The Flyers claimed two-time Stanley Cup winner Johnny Oduya from the Ottawa Senators while losing Mark Alt to the Colorado Avalanche.
Now that the deadline craziness is over, it is time to get back to the business of extending the Flyers current 11-game point streak.
The Flyers will end their season series with the struggling Montreal Canadiens tonight with their only trip to the Bell Centre. They will go for the season sweep after beating the Habs twice on home ice earlier this month.
Jakub Voracek has three goals and an assist versus Montreal this season, while Shayne Gostisbehere has five assists in those two games.
Speaking of Gostisbehere, it is because of him that the Flyers will see Charlie Lindgren in net tonight as Carey Price is on injured reserve with a concussion from a point shot to the head from off of Ghost's stick.
Besides their injured players like Price, Shea Weber and Anderw Shaw, we will not see Tomas Plenkanec as he was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday. Players like Alex Galchenyuk and Max Pacioretty were not moved today and will be in the lineup tonight.
