Back in February the Flyers gave the Golden Knights one of their league low seven regulation losses on home ice. They will look to complete to season sweep as the NHL's newest franchise makes their first ever appearance at the Wells Fargo Center tonight.
The Knights have been one of the best storylines of the 2017-18 as they have spent much of the season atop the Western Conference. The Nashville Predators current 10-0-1 stretch has vaulted them past Vegas for the top spot in the West, but the Knights still have a comfortable 12-point cushion over the San Jose Sharks for first place of the Pacific Division.
Vegas comes limping into Philadelphia with a very lengthy injury list. Key forwards James Neal, Riley Smith and Oscar Lindberg will all miss tonight's game.
Dave Hakstol will use the same lineup we saw snap the Flyers five-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday.
The Flyers need to start piling up points again. Even though they are still in third place in the Metropolitan Division, the New Jersey Devils, Columbus Blue Jackets and Florida Panthers have all been playing very well of late, so playoff berth is far from guaranteed with just 13 games remaining on the regular season schedule.
