"The Philadelphia Flyers head to Ottawa looking to make a big statement after getting pounded in their home opener by the San Jose Sharks 8-2.The team left goalie Brian Elliott out to dry so Calvin Pickard will make his Flyers debut at the Canadian Tire Centre Wednesday. Flyers defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere said some guys need to look in the mirror after the Sharks loss, but one of those guys definitely isn't Wayne Simmonds who continues to make a statement during a contract year and now has four points in the first three games to start the season. Claude Giroux was also very vocal about the loss and basically guaranteed a win in Ottawa tonight. ""Games like that, they're frustrating. But it's one game, everyone needs to relax. We'll go back to work tomorrow, get a win in Ottawa and then we're going to move on from there."" Giroux said.
