"It was an interesting story yesterday when it was revealed that Philadelphia Flyers' mascot, Gritty, is the center of a lawsuit. The lawsuit claims that during a meet and greet, Gritty punched a 13 year old boy after being patted on the head. The father, Chris Greenwell, has tried to handle the situation with the team but says the team was unwilling to admit anything happened. He added that he even asked the team to show him the video of the incident by the Flyers refused to let him see the video until the police were involved. After the news went viral, the Flyers made a brief statement regarding the lawsuit. "We took Mr. Greenwell's allegations seriously and conducted a thorough investigation that found nothing to support this claim," a Flyers spokesperson said in a statement to the Inquirer.
Do you think this is just a cash grab or believe Gritty might have went too far?
