After a rough outing against the Tampa Bay Lightning losing 7-0 and seeing their head coach banned from the bench for two games, the Flyers were looking for a spark to get back on their winning ways and they had the perfect prescription when the San Jose Sharks came to town.
After a great game, the Flyers beat the Sharks 3-2 and the win stemmed on the back of Flyers goalie Samuel Ersson. Flyers top star Owen Tippett spoke about his goalie's performance and shared his high praise of this body of work.
Since being thrusted into the starting role, Ersson has tried to find his groove with several games with save percentages over .950. Over the course of this season, he has amassed a record of 19-13-5 with a goals against 2.61 and save percentage of .899.
As the Flyers are prepping for their stretch run and solidifying their playoff spot, Errsson will be the key player to determine how their team will finish the season.
