The Flyers will begin the month of March just one point behind the Washington Capitals for first place in the Metropolitan Division. Tonight, the host the Carolina Hurricanes in the second of four meetings this season.
Jordan Weal, who had the game winning goal in the first game between these two teams, will be a healthy scratch. He has not scored a goal since his winner versus Carolina 10 games ago and has just one goal in his last 19 games. He has gone eight straight games without a point. Taylor Leier will take Weal's place in the lineup tonight.
