The Flyers will to erase the memories of Tuesday night's clunker versus the Pittsburgh Penguins when they host the New York Islanders. This will be the third meeting of the season with the Islanders winning a pair of overtime games with Thanksgiving holiday sandwiched in between.
Josh Bailey, who had one of the two overtime winners, leads the Islanders with four points (1 G, 3 A) against the Flyers. Sean Couturier, Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek each have a goal and two assists versus the Islanders.
The Flyers are catching the Islanders at the right time as they have lost three games in a row and have gone 3-6-1 in their last 10 games. They have also lost their last four road games. Having a third of their defense in Calvin de Haan and Johnny Boychuk on injured reserve is not helping things in Brooklyn either.
The Flyers did not have a morning skate today so we are not sure about the lineup. They sure made it sound as if Tyrell Goulbourn will draw tonight. He is likely to play on the fourth line in Dale Weise's place.
